What touches me the most: My Soap

Piercings: Have been pierced a total 11 times, All at different times tho

What uplifts me: Positivity, People's zest for LIFE

How many Tattoos do I have: Just 2, A Tiger on my arm & a Puma on my back

Am I a bathroom singer: Yes & a World singer too. When I am in the mood, keep singing through conversations too

Words I Like: Aish Outt, Ayaash, Godspeed, Good Riddance, Jukebox, FireWhiskey, StudMuffin, Vroom,Touché

Why do I use the word Ayaash so often: Translated into "one who enjoys" (In English) For me Ayaash means living life to the fullest. One can be envious of others & keep believing the grass is green on the other side. Those are just rubbish excuses. I say water your own grass to make it greener than the other side. Excuses make us mentally handicapped. Its all about good time management to live it up & make the most of your limited time in life.

Whats the first thing I notice in a woman: Has to be her confidence & personality.

My USP: Being a magnet for kids, Making friends in a heartbeat, Having a extremely sharp memory & knowing when to use it

If I wasn't a comedian:
Would be a motivational speaker empowering people.

What's my personal definition of happiness: To put a smile on someone's face. Happiness is not something you experience, it’s something you remember. And i feel happy, when i remember the smiles that I have created.

What religion do I believe in: None of them. And Every One of them. As i am more spiritual than religious. Because, Religion divides people. The topic is controversial & heavily misunderstood but i'll try my best to explain:  A person can be a mother to her children, that same person is a sister to her brother, a wife to her husband, a child to her parents & so on. But ultimately it is just one person playing different roles to different people. By that same logic, God is Allah to Muslims, Jesus to Catholics, Buddha in Buddhism, so on & so forth.

We are not Humans who are having a spiritual experience on Earth. We are all spirits having a human experience here.

My point? Whatever Power you believe in, You are not wrong & neither is anyone else wrong, But ultimately There is ONLY One God!

What would be the first thing I would do if today was my last day: Be Grateful. Coz whoever isn't Grateful is a Great Fool

The Story

Born and raised in Bur Dubai, where Indian residents, restaurants, chai shops and bazaars dominated the streets, Hindi was spoken by all and Bollywood movies played every week at the local cinema hall, Pawan has candidly admitted that until the age of nine, he believed he was growing up in a city in India! Pawan owes much credit to this early childhood experience, which infused in him an urge to search outside the life he grew accustomed to and discover what the rest of the world had to offer. At a young age, he developed a natural thirst for the unknown, a desire to explore life beyond the boundaries of familiarity, to break the mould and make every single moment count. Since his teenage years, he has established himself as a multi-talented, versatile performer in the entertainment industry with a passion for comedy, poetry, music, dance and photography. By stepping outside his comfort zone and searching for new experiences through every possible avenue, Pawan has been led to discover the wide breadth of his artistic potential and gift as an all-round entertainer.

Inheriting his mother’s flair for poetry and inspired by her talent, Pawan developed his very own style of writing at a young age by adding tunes to his Hindi-written poems and converting them into sad melodies. Through his poetry, he has explored the romance genre and reflected on timeless themes about the injustice of lost love and separation. At 16, he began to DJ with performances at school, college proms, farewell parties and other celebrated occasions, and quickly developed a name for himself on the international music scene by playing at high profile corporate events in world-class cities including Dubai, Mumbai and Sydney.

Convincing his family that the highest standards of education can be attained overseas, he moved to Australia as a teenager to study. It was here that his skills as a DJ developed to greater depths and he tried his hand at RJ-ing for the first time. Even today, Pawan continues to supply creative content to prominent radio stations across the UAE and India, and has rejected a number of lucrative job offers from major UAE-based stations.

After graduating from university in 2006 and moving back to Dubai to join the long-established family business, It was by chance at the end of 2009, that Pawan unveiled his ability to entertain people through his sharp and witty sense of humor. An unprompted fun performance sparked so much laughter amongst an astonished group of 40-50 friends at a Diwali party, Pawan couldn’t wait to experience the thrill of performing again. So In early 2010, he started training under big names in the industry & since then, he has taken his talent to the next level by becoming a professional comedian and establishing himself as one of UAE’s most sought-after names in stand-up comedy.

He has performed at numerous events and venues in Dubai including the “Dubomedy International Performing Arts Festival 2010, 2011, 2012”, "Comedy Lab" Lounge Wish Barsha, “One-Night Stand Up” TECOM, Rock Bottoms Cafe TECOM & Bur Dubai, Club Spice at Le Meridien Garhoud under training from widely-acclaimed comedian Dean Obeidallah, Charity show at The Fridge Warehouse in Al Quoz, the “Special Needs Friends Development Centre Annual Charity Bazaar 2011 & 2012” and “Wild Peeta” at Dubai World Trade Centre under the mentorship of international celebrity comedian Aron Kader.

In addition to stand-up comedy, Pawan is also a member of Dubai’s first and only professional improvisation troupe known as “Improv’ Revolution”. More recently, he has MCed, directed, scripted, co-choreographed and acted for more than 100 destination weddings skits with audiences ranging anywhere between 300 - 2500 guests across the UAE, Macau, China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines etc.

Whilst his loyalty to the family business is evident from his rejection of tempting job offers from the likes of Zee TV Dubai, City 101.6FM, 89.1FM, Radio Mirchi Mumbai and Yash Raj Films Marketing Team Mumbai, the biggest banner house for Indian movies, Pawan admits that “it’s a challenge to stay grounded to your low profile roots when the skies of creative satisfaction are calling.” But it is evident, he very well knows his boundaries.

On questioning how does he manage so many forms of art? Pawan has admitted that he picks up an art form of his fancy, learns his way up to its peak, conquer it, own it and then move on the next exciting adventure. Quote "It's tougher than it looks like. Just like any business venture it takes many seasons to become a seasoned player in any field. There is absolutely no shortcut to success & even an overnight success takes 10 years in the making." Unquote

Questioned about his dreams & aspirations for the future as an entertainer, He expresses how one day he hopes to make millions smile.

With a growing online presence of more than 18,000 fans on all social media & international shows lined up over the coming months in the Far East, where he’ll MC, choreograph, write, direct skits for destination weddings, his dream of entertaining the masses looks sure to become a reality in the not-so-distant future.
